UPCOMING EVENTS
This is a chartered bus tour to some of Vallarta’s public schools that are changing student’s lives with their excellent programs and to meet some of the becados (scholarship students) who attend them.
The first tour of the year will be on Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Tickets for $500 pesos include bus transportation, school tours of Secundaria Technica Pesquera (Junior High), UDG Preparatoria Ignacio Jacobo Magaña (High School) and UNIVA (University), and lunch at Los Alcatraces in Fluvial.
The second tour will be Wednesday, January 25, 2012. The tour will go to Centro Universitario de la Costa (CUC) and Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Puerto Vallarta (ITSPV), both universities. The tour will culminate with lunch at the popular restaurant Mariscos El Coleguita in Ixtapa.

Each year Becas Vallarta invites almost 400 scholarship students to the annual Posada
Navideña (Christmas Party). This year’s fiesta will be on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the beautiful Los Mangos Library. As in recent years, the fiesta features a traditional procession of Mary and Joseph, accompanied in song by President Mariel de Fregoso and the becados, piñatas swinging from a tree, awards for the students who had achieved 9.5 grade point averages or above (out of 10), delicious tamales, fruit, cookies and soft drinks and music. 2012 Club Corp Becas Golf Classic
Save the date! The second annual Becas Club Corp Classic is scheduled for Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 12:30 at the Puerto Vallarta Marina Golf Course. More inforamtion to come!
Once again Becas Breakfasts are being planned after two very successful seasons.
They are scheduled for Vitea Bistro, on November 9, La Palapa on December 14, Daiquiri Dick's on January 18, The River Cafe on February 15 and Coco's Kitchen on April 18. Tickets for Vitea Bistro are available by writing phvicars@gmail.com or calling 223-1371. Tickets will again be $150 pesos.
